MUSKMELON

Muskmelon is a species of melon which has been developed in many cultivated varieties which include skinned varieties like honeydew, censhaw and casaba. it grows in large number of cultivars in the species found in wild cabbage. It looks ball shaped inside it contains tasty portion and seeds are scattered inside. There is a rough outer layer surrounding the fresh edible portion. This fruit belongs to the type of botanists call an apigynous berry. Muskmelon is native in north western Asian countries and seen much in India, china and spread to Europe via Persian. It is also called as cucumis melon. It grows just above the soil surface and makes easy to yield this fruit.
