PUMPKIN FRUIT
Pumpkin fruit is a gourd like squash which belongs to genus cucurbita and the family is cucurbitaceous. This fruit grows just above the surface of the soil and require heavy water content to grow. This grows in most part of United States and Canada. This is seen near most villages. The word pumpkin came from pepon and its Greek name is large melon. This fruit normally looks orange or yellow in colour and running from the stem to the bottom. They have a thick shell like structure outside with stem to the bottom. They look very big and belong to cucurbita pepo or cucurbita mixta. It grows all around the world and also used as animal feed.
