WOOD APPLE FRUIT

Wood apple fruit is brownish in color and it has a very hard outer cover which is hard to break and inside it has brownish edible portion which will be very tasty when sugar is added. It is called in other names as elephant apple, monkey apple or curd fruit and in few places of Asian countries It is called as Vilam Palam. It belongs to rutaceae family and genus which it belong is limonia. It grows in most part of India, Pakistan and srilankan countries. Limonia is the name of the plant which bears this fruit. It grows in large trees which bear many spiny barks.
